The Square

The Square is THE must-see attraction in Wimberley, Texas.

It’s actually a triangle, but WMBRLY has its own unique style, so a town square that’s a triangle seems only fitting. There is certainly a lot to see and do, so leave yourself plenty of time to explore.

Wimberley has a significant artist’s community, and this is the center of the action. With art galleries and jewelry stores on every corner, there is a lot to see if you are curious. The people around town are extremely friendly, and the laid-back atmosphere lends itself to creative thinking.

A town of just 2,600 people, there is shopping throughout, but this is the hub of the shopping scene. You can walk from shop to shop. There are a lot of unique shops to enjoy, and this area has studios for many of Wimberley’s local artists.

In addition, many Wimberley dining options are around the square. The Wimberley Cafe is perhaps the first restaurant you will see. There are a few vacation rental rooms near the Square, but the nicest hotel in Wimberley is an easy walk away at 400 River Road — Hotel Flora and Fauna.
